Dancingthread presents contra dances in Peterborough throughout the year.

All dances take place at St. John's Anglican Church, 99 Brock Street, east of Water St., between Brock and Hunter Streets. (map)

The Annual Gala New Year's Eve Dance!

• December 31, featuring the fabulous Duo of Fiddling Jay Edmunds (known to many as the lead fiddle in Flapjack), joined by the popular local musician Michael Ketemer on guitar.

Admission is $10 per person, $20 per family (parents with kids).

The dance will go from 9:00 till after midnight, with a special "contra dance basics" session at 8:30.

Please bring goodies to share at the refreshment break.

Beginners of all ages are welcome; all dances will be taught; no partners needed.

This is a smoke-free and alcohol-free venue.
